Join us at the Riverfront Hotel in Richland to run 13.1 or 26.2! Don’t feel like going that far? You can also form a relay team of up to four for the marathon.
The Half Marathon course is 6.55 miles out-and-back into Pasco, turning around on the trail just before the Road 54 boat launch. This is a USATF certified course through 2027.
The Marathon course follows the Pasco river trail past the Cable Bridge before crossing it into Kennewick. From there, the course is a mix of trail and bike lane going west on Columbia Park Trail. Turn north on the 240 side path and west towards Chamna Park, turning around about 1/3 of the way up the I-182 bridge. Follow the 240 trail back into Richland and to the Riverfront Hotel. USATF Certification for this course is in progress.
Both courses are mostly flat apart from the bridges. The final 8 miles of the Marathon course are slightly rolling. Elevation gain for the Marathon is about 400ft.

This is a nice course if you get lucky to have good weather…it can be a gamble for the Tri-Cities in late October. I did not think the race was well organized. There were no port-potties at the start. They expected us to all funnel through a two stall bathroom for men and women at the local hotel. The course did not have volunteers at all the turns so it was confusing on which way to go. I ran most of the route by myself so I had to just hope I was choosing the right route. I never got lost but I definitely didn’t like how poorly marked the intersections were. There was a cone and maybe an arrow, if you got lucky. The bathrooms along the course were not easily seen or well placed. They relied on trail bathrooms which is fine but some were set off so far from the running path that they were very difficult to see. I never had to use them but I was constantly watching for them just in case. The finish line was a dud. There was no “party” or “celebration”. There were no paramedics or EMTs on staff in case of an emergency at the finish. The finisher food was a joke. It was some bagged snack food like fruit snacks and chips and very minimal fruit. The medals were really cheap and ugly. The shirt was also ugly and poorly designed. I ran this marathon because it’s the only one that fit into my schedule and location needs. However, I would not run it again and I would not suggest it unless you want a really really low-key basic race. It hardly felt like a race besides the marked course. Much of the course is along the river which is very pretty…but again, the weather is such a gamble for the area. I got lucky and had nice weather but I know it’s not always that way.
