Well-organized race. Perfectly sized, in my opinion. I love that it starts at 6:45am to beat the heat. Parking is tough, so arrive early and plan to walk a bit to the start. Who cares, it’s a nice warm up.
The 10k and half marathoners start in a different direction than the 5k, which made the course easier to navigate. I do wish the corral was a bit more organized. They had signs for 5-7min, 7-10min, and over 10min a mile. I know some people are going to ignore the pace signs regardless, but it would be better for them to have been a bit more specific, and for the announcer to encourage people to line up honestly. Water on course was hot. I only did the 5k so I didn’t necessarily need it but I picked one up to splash on my face and it was hot water. Not refreshing. Throw some ice in that dispenser!
Good swag, lots of food/drink options after the race. Overall a great time. I will do this one again!

This was a nice race to run. There were 5 of us that participated. The only major complaints I have, are that the people handing out that shirts gave one of our men a women’s shirt & our times didn’t get put in the results until 4 days after the event! There were other people this happened to as well. I noticed the 3rd place finisher in my age was not the same as when they handed out medals. Be sure to check your time if you think you finished well. The swag was good & the after party was also nice. Lots of vendors and people from other races. I would run this again. It was a fairly flat, fast course with nice scenery.

Parking is unorganized, need to arrive early as most parking is street parking.
The race ran on a trail around the lake, unfortunately this is a very popular trail for (sometimes rude) cyclist and other runners. This trail is not closed to the public. There was often only enough space on the trail for two runners to be side to side, which created frustrated cyclist and it difficult to pass slower participants.
The after party included lots of vendors giving away freebies but it looked like the 5k finishers get to enjoy all the benefits while the 10k and 15k finishers put in more work. There was only one medal no matter the distance.

Race course: flat fast course, great course support, water stations, runs by White Rock Lake.
Post Race – one of the best, live band, fruit, snack bars, water, vendors provided – muscle milk, bundt cakes, frozen yogurt, popsicles. Unique placing awards as only Run Project always provides.
There was also a 15K option. Great Run would do again next year.
