This race was great, it was my first race and I was extremely nervous to run it due to thinking that I wouldn’t be able to find any motivation and I was able to find a guy who offered to be my checkpoint. Friendly people, friendly volunteers, and overall it’s a great race for any beginners with no prior running experience.

“Similar to the Davis Turkey Trot. this is an easy course. The only climbing is one overpass. There are a lot of trees on the route, which is enjoyable.
It is mostly on paved roads, but there is a section on an easy-to-run dirt trail.”

(2019): it had rained recently and there were huge puddles in the dirt trail,so they changed the route slightly.
This year they also served pancakes after the race.

This is a great local race to kickoff the spring season. The course is pretty flat and the atmosphere is great, the aid stations are staffed by local volunteers. Great, positive vibes all around. I am in the middle of training for a half-marathon, so I did the 10k and actually got a PR, so I was pretty happy! Will definitely try to be back next year!

This race is so easy to get to and it is well supported with cheering crowds. I would recommend this race to all. There is after race goodies for everyone with a party atmosphere. The race takes place downtown Davis. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance for after race celebrations. Oh and the race bling is awesome.

This was the first race I’d gone to completely alone. I did the 7-miler since it was only a week before what was to be my first half marathon. It was a fun vent & a good training run. If I repeat it next year, I’ll go for the half! We’ll see… Tour de Fit is a lot of fun, but the costs add up quickly! I wish there was a “package deal” of some sort for signing up for numerous TdF events all at once…

The Lucky Run is another of A Change of Pace Foundation’s quality events. The participants create a sea of green with their attire and accessories. The parking was easy, the aid stations were fine, the re-fuel was great. The oranges were scrumptious! The weather was very, very nice and the announcers were professional.
