This race was canceled (for permitting issues) 2 days prior to when it was supposed to be held with a quick email. There was no further information provided for the cancellation, or refunds, or rescheduling. Despite emailing the race director, and tweeting them twice there was silence! I’ve had races canceled before but these are either rescheduled or refunded (or at the least the race directors contact runners to try to “make things right” somehow). With this race, nothing!! Never will I ever sign up for another race organized by Crucible Racing (and you shouldn’t either)!!

This race, like several other Crucible races, was cancelled with little warning and no refunds. Michael and Jodi Barder have stopped responding to emails. They have taken down the FB event page where people were voicing their utter disgust . Michael has hidden his linkedin page. Shady. Shady. Shady. Also ran the Wilson Bridge Half put on by these crooks and we didn’t get anything we were promised. No medals. No photos. No half zips. No shuttles to the start line (had to WALK two miles from the “official hotel” to the start line in 25 degree weather. Scam artists. If you want to also post a review on FB see link below

I am still in shock that this race was cancelled and the runners still have not been notified! No notification on why, talk of reimbursement, apology, nothing. Absolutely in shock. I will never ever run this race or suggest someone else to run it!
