…going out and back 3x on this course. The 5k here once served as my PR course until very recently. Starting at the ice rink, there’s one road crossing into a park which is flat or slightly uphill, hit the gatorade/water point and come back. The upside here is the slight decline will help you out for the second half of each lap but not be punishing enough on the uphill to really slow you down. I first thought 3x would get repetitive. The first half of my second lap it did, but that went away once I could honestly tell myself I was over halfway there. BRC kept the motivational music playing at the start line, so the downhills got progressively faster when you got close enough to hear the pump. Snowcones were waiting at the end along with the usual mix of bars. The swag was typical Bodies high-end, with a nicely designed spinner medal and a soft cotton T shirt.
