The adidas Stockholm Half Marathon offers a one-of-a-kind course, with both the start and finish located in the iconic area between the Royal Palace, the Parliament, and the Opera House. The Course
The adidas Stockholm Half Marathon takes place on a fast and inspiring route through some of Stockholm’s most iconic neighborhoods: Norrmalm, Vasastan, Kungsholmen, Gamla Stan, and Södermalm.
The race starts on Strömbron and finishes on Norrbro, passing several of Stockholm’s most famous landmarks, including Karlberg Palace, Stockholm City Hall, Parliament House, The Royal Palace, and The Opera House.
The course is perfect for both those aiming for a personal best in the half marathon (21.1 km) and those who want to experience the joy and challenge of completing their first half marathon.

About 18,000 people run the halfmarathon in Swedens capital. Total elevation gain is about 80-100m – a big loop that starts near the opera and the royal palace and finishes there. Very easy race paket pick up and smooth race day organisation. Plenty of water stops and coffee and cinnamon rolls (kanel bulla) in the end as well as a pack with rehydration and bars. About 60 Euros. I was pacing for friends. There were plenty people of people along the streets but I thought the athosphere would be a little more cheerful. Nonetheless worth a trip and I d participate again…
