This is a fun San Jose tradition. The run is in the afternoon, so nice not to have to get up too early :-). The course is mostly flat with one small hill near the SAP Center after the turn around. Lots of people dressed in Santa or other Christmas costumes. The race ends downtown at Christmas in the Park. Cute medal that doubles as a Christmas ornament. This year it was raining!

This was a fun run. There are lots of costumes, families, and friends. I liked that this race started in the afternoon. It was really chilly, so dress warm. They have fun for the kids after the race, this would be a great race to take my grandchildren to. They had a costume competition that was fun to see at the finish. There were vendors at the end with cookies and milk too 🙂

This was a fun run in downtown San Jose Tivo Santa Run. Start on time 3:00 pm. Flat fast course. Walk, run, jump, hop with a sea of Santa’s. One water station en route at about mile 2. Great long sleeved tech t, cute bib, awesome finisher’s medal. Cookies and milk at the finish line. There was also kids race before the main race started. Yes, there were timing chips on the bibs. I heard a lot of people saying there was no timing of the race…. not true. Race ended in Christmas in the Park. Plenty of places to park (paid parking for the most part unless you were lucky enough to find a no charge spot). This race sold out at about 2-3 thousand runners. Fun, fun, fun!

Well set up, very festive. There’s absolutely nothing like running with thousands of Santas. Downtown San Jose, right near Christmas in the Park. Lots of runners (and they have awards for top three finishers) but also lots of walkers/strollers. Some very creative festive costumes.
