Join us in the naturally calming and stunning landscape of Sandhill Crane Vineyards, just 20 miles west of Ann Arbor. Friends, running, a beautiful course, and a finish in the vineyards that includes, music, cheese, and chocolate paired perfectly with wine!
The half marathon will take you from the vineyard to rolling dirt back roads shaded by a tunnel of trees. Much of the course cuts through the wilderness of the Waterloo Recreation Area. The 5 Mile route (5.22 Miles) shares the beginning and end of the beautiful half marathon. The 5K is a dash out to a beautiful gated community and an uphill finish to make sure you earn that chocolate to go with your wine tasting!
Course Overview
5K: The 5K is on all paved roads out through a beautiful tree lined neighborhood and back to the finish.
5M: The 5 Mile (Actually……. 5.22 Miles) is a loop starting on paved roads, followed by a couple of miles on dirt roads and ending with a fast strech of pavement back to the finish!
13.1M: The Half Marathon will be on quiet country roads traveling through beautiful Waterloo Recreation Area. Much of the half marathon is on dirt roads in great condition.

This was a fun race. It was small but well marked and even though the roads weren’t closed, we did not see cars. The post party with the wine samples and food samples was great. They had a band playing . I liked that the shirt was optional so if your goal was not to run 50 states you didn’t need to buy the shirt. The course was scenic and if you like swag, communication l, and food this is the race for you
