This was the inaugural running. 1 Mile, 5K and 10K (2 loops). Course was easy to follow and as everything is in this town either up or down hill! 500′ elevation gain and loss for the 5K.
You start downtown, lots of free parking early on a sunday. About 200 runners in all races total. Real bathrooms and free coffee at the start (and finish). Several historic hotels within walking distance as well. Water stops were ample and well manned. Water, juice, oranges, bananas, and candy at the finish.
A few spectators along the course cheering, and good police presence, you run on paved road 80% of the time and one downhill gravel section. Roads are open to traffic, but very few cars and all were polite and slow. Medal was nice, shirt was decent (cotton), nice canvas bag, and several free coupons for food after the race at local places. Packet pickup was easy and fairly fast.
