To celebrate the occasion, we will be hosting the Marathon Village, where participants can collect their bibs, and visitors can partake in the festivities too. Join us for some fun food, music, fitness, and more!
The finish line is never too far ahead.

Riyadh Marathon is a very well organised running event in the capital of Saudi Arabia! Women are allowed to run and so many do. Runners can choose between the distances 42k, 21k, 10k and 4k. Of course I did the 21k half marathon. Weather conditions were just perfect! It was a cool sunny morning with temperatures of 7 degrees Celsius at 8 am when we started and around 13 degrees at the finish. The course unfortunately is quite boring with just some highlights like a mosque along the route. Some very few spectators are cheering. The course is not as flat as I expected, but still flat enough to run a good pace. Water was offered every 2-3km. The atmosphere at the start and finish area was awesome! Lots of possibilities to take pictures, have a coffee enjoy music etc. The expo was also very well organised and quite big! The main problem of the race were the long distances. From downtown where my hotel was located it took me around 20-25 minutes by taxi to get to the expo. Same for the race! It took me 20 minutes to Kingdom Arena where the start was. The nearest point the taxi could stop was around 2 km (at least) from the bag drop and toilets. From there runners had to go back another 2km to get to the start! I could hardly get to the start on time and made it just last minute which was very stressful. You should definitely calculate to arrive at least 1 to 1 1/2 hours before the start at Kingdom Arena. All in all a fantastic experience!
