I grew up in Orlando, but have only been back periodically over the last 20 years or so. It was great fun to see how neighborhoods have changed (or stayed the same) over the years. This was one of the best organized events I’ve ever participated in.

Very nice flat course, the only downside was the brick streets 1.7 miles of them, tough on ankles. Good temperatures most of the time. Good running crowd. MORE

I’ve run this half 5 yrs in a row. It’s the only race I commit to every year. It’s well organized. Btwn the runners, volunteers and spectators, I see lots of familiar faces on race day. There’s beer after and a fun atmosphere.

Frequent water stations, fun themes. Race clock posted at every mile marker. Some 20% of course is brick roads, and last 3 miles were uphill, modest grade but still uphill. MORE
