Challenging climb is within the first couple miles of the race. Over 900 ft elevation gain, but the views from the top are spectacular before you drop back down into some fun single tracks. Course was well marked and a good amount of water stations. There are medals for finishers. You also get a long sleeve tech shirt, and some chili 🌶 🍲 to replenish those calories. 😋. There was also a post-race raffle so stick around to find out if you win anythjng.

I was in SOCAL on a quick business trip and found this race at the last minute. What a find! I do most of my races, to date, in the eastern half of the US. This was completely different scenery, and such a nice change. This was not a race that had a lot of support and not much at the finish line either, so take your own water and fuel. But this is a race worth doing.

I am used to participating in large races that have a lot of people so this was a nice change of pace for me. This is a smaller race, but everyone is very friendly. I felt like that I was out running with friends, instead of running a race. It was refreshing to get out there and be with a smaller group of people. I liked the race because it was a trail run, and it was a lot easier on the knees as well. That was something I was really happy with! My friend and I ran together and we had a great time!

This race was very well organized. The trail scenery was very pretty. The first two miles were uphill and tough– the rest downhill or flat. Much of the trail was single track. I stopped to take a couple pictures because it was just too pretty not to do so. I liked the shirts too. Nice swag. I’ll sign up for all three next year.

this run is in ONeil Regional Park and features a variety of terrains from paved roads to fire trails and single tracks. The field is just the right size so you don’t get stopped on the single tracks and uphills by people walking in front of you. Some of the best shirts too. Just be aware that parking is limited so carpool or get there very early.

the race is in O’Neill Regional Park and has options for the 5 and 10 mile. the 5 mile is the hilly trail run. The 10 mile has an additional 5 miles of flat fire road tacked on at the end of 5 mile course. Recommend the 5 mile as the extra miles for the 10 are not very exciting. Great production team and chili is served after. good give-a-ways in a free raffle after the event.
