Noah Wilson was diagnosed with cancer in April 2014. Despite the challenges he faced, this incredibly courageous six-year-old turned his pain into a mission to bring joy to others. Before his passing in June 2015, Noah founded Noah’s Bandage Project, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of hope and generosity. Today, all proceeds, donations, and bandage collections from this 5K event support Noah’s Bandage Project and its mission to to end childhood cancer through awareness, support, and the gift of hope. We do this through the collection of cool, fun bandages for kids and by raising money for pediatric cancer research.
Join in honoring Noah’s legacy and advancing the fight against childhood cancer. Participate in our family-friendly, annual 5K run/walk at Corporate Woods in Overland Park and bring your bandages to donate. Together, we can raise awareness, build support, and bring hope to children impacted by pediatric cancer. Compete individually for age group or overall awards, form a team and rally your friends, or sign up as an event volunteer. Every effort counts in making this event a success!

I don’t like Corporate Woods races in the summer. Thankfully this was not. It was actually quite cool. I don’t know why, but even in cooler temps I just really don’t find the course exciting. My friends feel the same way so I see it isn’t just me, but it’s all on completely closed down roads, two lanes in each direction. Great slider medal and a soft t-shirt, there’s literally nothing about this to say it’s not a great race, I just have a bias against Corporate Woods because I’ve had some hot summer races there.
Now all that aside, the course was short. By a lot. 2.95 was my Strava, I saw 2.9 and 3.0 on devices that tend to read long, not short, and all four of us didn’t PR today when some of us were barely phoning it in, so I’m inclined to go with 2.95 being accurate. Shame really, other than that it seemed a really squared away race. Hoping they plug that hole next year, where they can easily become a solid 4 or maybe a light 5 shoe race.
