Will honestly say I probably won’t do as a half marathon again but would run the 5 miler. Beautiful local race and all the volunteers were so nice. Great after party too

Very pretty course, but definitely prepare yourself with some hill work ahead of time. Also, they ran out of electrolytes and did not have fuel on course so plan accordingly. … MORE
Very pretty course, but definitely prepare yourself with some hill work ahead of time. Also, they ran out of electrolytes and did not have fuel on course so plan accordingly. The swag was super great, long sleeve hooded shirt and the after party was fantastic with beer, fried mushrooms, grilled cheese, and other snacks. A good sized event with pacers so you’ll have someone near you the whole event!

This is a very hilly course through a scenic rural area. The after party is at The Kennett Creamery which has a very cool vibe & a great outdoor space. They serve local craft beer & food. The giveaway shirt is always a nice long sleeve zip up.

I live in DC where it is mainly flat and I have done some races that advertise hills. I was not aware of quite how difficult the hills would be for this race. Add in the gravel and a messy start and it wasn’t my best race. They did not have pacers and started the group/team runners before the rest of us which meant that a number over very slow people were in the front of the race. AWESOME t shirt though, an under armour long sleeve.
