Marburg marathon is a marathon/half marathon race in the city of Marburg which is a very beautiful small city right in the middle of Germany. The race starts on a Friday night at 7pm at the market square of the old part of the town. It´s a flat beautiful course with parts in the city, outside along beautiful fields and at the river Lahn. It´s a small production with around 1200 runners for the half marathon. Everything is easy going! Perfect race to start the weekend with.

Marburg marathon is a marathon/half marathon race in the city of Marburg which is a very beautiful small city right in the middle of Germany. The race starts on a Friday night at 7pm at the market square of the old part of the town. It´s a flat beautiful course with parts in the city, outside along beautiful fields and at the river Lahn. Marburg is a small and beautiful city not too far away north of Frankfurt. As it has a big university it´s packed with students who either take part in the race or have a barbecue at the river Lahn and watch the runners. That´s why the atmosphere of the race is very unique. The race starts at 7pm in the historic center of the city and the course is very scenic and beautiful. The finish is at the stadium. Really beautiful race!

Marburg Night Marathon is a wonderful race that takes place on a friday evening. Start is at 7pm which mean that it´s a perfect way to start the weekend. Runners can easily pick up the bib numbers up to 30 minutes before the start at the stadium where the race finish. From there runners have to walk about 15 minutes up to the market square of the old town where the start takes place. The market square provides a start of the race in a fantastic atmosphere as it is surrounded by historic buildings. The course takes runners first down the hill for about 1 km, then through downtown before runners start to run at the river Lahn. The atmosphere on a beautiful summer evening is fantastic as many people (most of them students) are enjoying the weather at the river. Finish is at the stadium where you can relax and enjoy drinks and cookies after the race.
