Triathlon’s Best Kept Secret
Swim
The point-to-point swim in the Tennessee River will start 2.4 miles upstream of transition. Athletes will enter the water in a rolling start. Spectators will have a great opportunity to watch the entire swim as they walk along side the swimmers on the Chattanooga Riverwalk. Athletes will exit the water at the beautiful Ross’s Landing Park. The water temperature will be in the mid 70’s degrees Fahrenheit.
Bike
The 116 mile bike course takes riders 11 miles south of town before beginning two 47-mile loops in north Georgia. Athletes can expect incredible views as they parallel Lookout Mountain on this rolling course with great road surfaces. As athletes near the end of the loop they will get the opportunity to ride through historic Chickamauga. The bike course has approximately 4808 feet of climbing.
Run
Athletes will have a chance to see the Scenic City as they complete two loops through downtown Chattanooga, The Tennessee Riverwalk, Veterans Bridge, North Shore, Walnut Street Bridge and the beautiful Riverfront Parkway. The final stretch will bring athletes down Riverfront Parkway to finish at Ross’s Landing along the Tennessee River. Total elevation gain for the run is around 673 feet.

So I did the IMCHOO RELAY… This is more than likely my last IMCHOO Relay as my company {McKee Foods} sponsored my team. This run was my 2nd time, I have ran a lot of races here in Chattanooga but this is the best race course! I love when I make it to Barton {Northshore area} so much crowd support over that way, the people engage with you and I live[race] for that. So fun!
I love when I get close by and can hear names of people becoming an Ironman. It’s awesome!
This was a great race but very difficult

I was on a relay team. My biker at mile 8 had a fight with two water bottles that fell from a biker in front of him and he lost!! Scraped up and messed up gear shift, he made it 102 miles where he just couldn’t walk the hills anymore (stuck in high gear). We sadly didn’t complete our mission. Until next year…
Very hilly course
The course is very hilly and tons of rolling hills, some roads when you hit mile 60, 70 and some at 80 miles are very bumpy roads with large dips. MORE
