Proceeds from this year’s “I Thought Turkeys Could Fly” 5K will benefit the Toy for Tots. The USATF certified course will begin and end on North General Lee Ave by Tyler Park in Dunn, NC. The course is flat and fast with only 56 ft of elevation change and a downhill finish. The race will start at 9:00 a.m. and will be chip timed.
Medals will be presented to the top 3 overall female and male. Age group medals will be given to females and males based on USAT&F 10 year groupings: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up.
This race will be the third of a Harnett County series, partnered with races in Erwin and Coats. Sign up for all three using the “Bundle” option and save some money!

This was a small race, with no frills. Participants got a t-shirt. Medals were awarded for top 3 overall and top in each 10-year age group in each gender. The course was flat and ran through neighborhoods. Parking was ample at the start/finish line at a small park.
