This was a recovery race for me after yesterday’s hilly half. “Recovery” isn’t the best word for it, but I love Bodies Race Co’s races and they always bring the party. The medals are always amazing. The shirts are a nicely designed cotton with the race locations on the back.
The course itself was a slightly modified version of prior years due to some construction, which added another hill. There was no hopes of excelling today after yesterday’s race so we took it slow and light, but there were still some hills that taxed the quads. Bring a hat and some water, because while aid stations are pretty nicely spaced, there’s not a lot of shade out there and the sun will get you. Only one of the hills is particularly steep, but there are quite a few that drag out for a while.
10k was one out and back, the half marathon was a double out and back.
