Hall-Wattens Half Marathon

Cobblestone pavement, asphalt, gravel and woodland – the 21.9-kilometer stretch of the Raiffeisen half-marathon Hall-Wattens awaits with a very varied course, coupled with various smaller and larger slopes. Challenges that hundreds of attendees will again face. Before the main competition including the Volkslauf, the Nordic walking competition and the relay race is started at 4.00 pm, the Old Town Hall and the town center of Wattens belong to the new generation. From the Zwergerllauf in Hall (first start at 12:30 o’clock) to the subsequent children’s runs in Hall and Wattens, exciting competitions are waiting for the spectators, whereby it is already clear in advance: each of the young participants is celebrated like a winner!

Not only among the many starters is the anticipation of the biggest sporting event in the region, the tension also increases among the organizers. Heinz Lutz, the racing director and chairman of the performing association Haller Lauftreff, can rely on a well-established and motivated team.

Due to construction work, a small change in the route leads to the half marathon distance on the last kilometer. It is not necessary to go through the UMIT campus or the UMIT-Allee. Instead, the runners stay on the Kaiser-Max-Strasse and are guided over the Thurnfeldgasse to the old town and thus to the finish line.
