The biggest problem with this race is the course–it’s just two big laps. Also, as a back of the pack runner, it was very lonely because when I was running the second half because it was such a small race; I was sometimes the only runner in sight. If this race had more people that would help solve that problem. Another problem with this race is that it starts really late–like at 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. I will say that I thought the volunteers were lovely.

The biggest problem with this race is the course–it’s just two big laps. Also, as a back of the pack runner, it was very lonely because when I was running the second half because it was such a small race; I was sometimes the only runner in sight. If this race had more people that would help solve that problem. Another problem with this race is that it starts really late–like at 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. I will say that I thought the volunteers were lovely.

Trivium Racing always puts on a good race. Last year, this race was a point to point due to Covid. This year, it was a two loop course to find the flattest half marathon route in the city. While it was flatter than last year, I would not call this course flat. The shirt was a long sleeved tech. The medal was the final medal of the 6-race mega medal series, where all the medals joined in a fashion similar to the Olympic rings. Food options after the race weren’t great but there was plenty of beer.

For 2020, the race directors were able to hold the event by doing a staggered start of one athlete every few seconds. They also changed the course from it’s usual flat loop to a point to point course. This event is the final race in Trivium Racing’s mega medal series, with the medals from all 6 races joining together to make a huge medal. The T-shirt was a long sleeved tech shirt.

This was the first race I’ve run where you could choose an economy price. No shirt no medal. Sometimes you just have too many shirts. The medal where beautiful, so I’m seconding guessing not getting one. I would do this event again.
