Past years had cute tanks with empowering quotes on them so I’ve wanted to do this one for that reason. 2018 had large boxy cotton sleeveless 90’s men’s tank which was such a disappointment- saved by the bell style. If they go back to dryfit standard style tanks it would be fabulous! Popsicles & fire truck sprinklers were great on a hot Aug morning.

Small, women's only event
This is a women only event that runs through Fargo/West Fargo residential neighborhoods. Majority of course is ok residential streets or concrete/paved walking trails/sidewalks. This is not a congested course … MORE
This is a women only event that runs through Fargo/West Fargo residential neighborhoods. Majority of course is ok residential streets or concrete/paved walking trails/sidewalks. This is not a congested course and you won’t find yourself running in large packs. Smooth race operations and friendly course staff to hold traffic at intersections and also guide runners at turning points. This is a much smaller event than the Fargo Marathon in comparison. For example, this year there were 169 half marathon participants. I found this course to be relaxing though because of the small crowds, residential views, and was one of my best runs.

I did the 5k with my mom. We stayed on our side of the path, but got ran into by the lead 10k runners. I felt bad for the 10k runners because they didn’t have any path to run on due to the slower 5k walkers on one side of the path and the medium paced 5kers on the other side. Also, this was my first race with my mom and I wanted a picture of us running. It turns out that the pictures only went up until a few minutes before we finished. So they never took a picture of us finishing. Also, they tried to give me the wrong shirt at the packet pick-up. I paid for a 5k tank top, but they ran out. They tried to give me a random cotton T-shirt that were extras before I told them I would only take a 5k tech tee. I am extremely disappointed in this race. I had run the 10k in previous years and thought it was a good race, but last year it was chaotic. I don’t think I will run this race again.

It’s not very often you can run in an All women’s race. The support, energy, and fun was definitely in the air. So much fun! There is one man that gets chosen to be the solo Go Far Man! Seeing him on the course was cool! Highly recommend this race.
