Just a local race with friendly people through wooded bike trails and roads. No expo, no chip timing, no corrals, no crowds, no Gatorade, no GU, no medals, no photos, no music, no after party. The race reminded me of how races were back in the 80’s. A cute t-shirt and a finisher ribbon.
The course is part bike paths and part open roads. The open roads are not that crowded so they were not an issue. I was surprised to see my watch said there was only 202 feet elevation change. I think the entire elevation change is one big hill that you’ll run twice if you are running the half. I think there were two water stops if you ran the half. I finished in 2:16 and all that was left at the finish was one orange and maybe two bananas. I left the bananas for the few still on the course.
