It’s a simple, totally flat out and back on the beach at Galveston. You will most likely have the wind in your face for one of the directions. There is loose sand for 25 yards or so at the start/finish, but aside from that it’s pretty well packed sand. Bring a head lamp as there are a lot of holes on the beach.
