This is a great race and cause! This was my first try at this race and it was great! Very well ran, everyone was friendly and in a happy mood. The trial was beautiful and a killer! 2,100 ft of elevation gain and I did the added challenge this year called the Cherry on Top, which was an additional 300 ft gain in .1 of a mile up hill. The volunteers were wonderful and my legs are killing me lol.
Even the Hills had Hills!

The scenery is awesome as I think Mohican State park is one of the most parks in the Midwest. For a novice runner I recommend starting slow as the ending has a lot of uphill action. I also like the swag. For the price of the race I think it is the best. 2016 was a Brooks compression long sleev, nice beer glass, and two beers and chili. Great time and I will running this race next years.
Hope you're hungry for hills

The race director and co-director are the best people on the planet. They will make you feel right at home. And, speaking of home, you can get accommodations right on site for a donation to the cause – Camp NUHOP. Seriously, only a kitchen stood between me and the expo and the door to the start/finish line. If you like friendly-runner people, you will feel like your with family.
Swag included a custom tech Brooks shirt, a custom beer glass and tickets for 2 beers, made locally. You also get chili and chips.
One of my favorite races.
Will kick your patootie

The organization is just fantastic and the money benefits Camp NUHOP. They provide a place for you to stay which was on the course. Our porch, and others, became places where runners left their gear because it was within touching distance.
I will do this every year.
