The HUFF 50k is awesome and plan on making the 4 hour plus drive to this every year. This year the turn out was 100 runners less than previous years (if not 200 or less) because of freezing rain and pour travel conditions. I enjoyed the terrain and layout of the course as it is 90% trails. The aid stations were also awesome and it was nice to see every 4 miles with 2 loop have warm chicken soup. I now think chicken soup at 50k races should be mad story in the winter. Again awesome time and can’t wait until next year.

This is awesome race and has the most beautiful lodge in Ohio. My sister lives by the ski resorts in Utah and this place reminds me of the atmoshpere out west. The terrain is tough enough to keep experienced runners coming back. If you play on doing the 50k I would recommend extra shoes as course will pass through a number of small creeks.

The scenery is awesome as I think Mohican State park is one of the most parks in the Midwest. For a novice runner I recommend starting slow as the ending has a lot of uphill action. I also like the swag. For the price of the race I think it is the best. 2016 was a Brooks compression long sleev, nice beer glass, and two beers and chili. Great time and I will running this race next years.
