First time for me at the Falmouth Road Race. Logistics are a bit daunting, especially if coming from out of town – get there early to avoid traffic before the race. Buses take you from Falmouth to Woods Hole (like Boston). Start line is VERY crowded. If you want to actually race you need to line up as early as possible; otherwise the first 2-3 miles will be a lot of bobbing and weaving.
Major drawback is no mail option or same day option for race numbers. Same day is understandable, but they really should offer mail as an option for those who don’t want to make the extra trip.
Overall, a classic NE race, but organization could be better.

First time for me at the Falmouth Road Race. Logistics are a bit daunting, especially if coming from out of town – get there early to avoid traffic before the race. This is one of the most enjoyable races I’ve run. The organizers were great and the Falmouth citizens were just as amazing as the views- I felt celebrated and encouraged as a runner as until my last step. A class act all around.
Will be back next year.
Warning- be ready for that last steep hill just after mile 6!

The crowd is incredible! there are thousands of people line the streets to cheer you on for every mile. This year was apparently their hottest year yet, and the crowds still showed up! The race itself was well done, and the volunteers were excellent. I will definitely be running this race for years to come.

Great course, lots of current elite runners (Meb, Gebremarain) and many former elite runners (Rodgers, Shorter, Benoit-Samuelson). Hills in the beginning and at the end with nice flat section in the middle. Registration is by lottery and housing/lodging gets sold out quick. Many people make this part of vacation on Cape.
