The Active Joe races (The Fairview Half, The Showdown Half, The New Years Doubles, and the Big Cedar Endurance Run) are absolutely amazing. The race director is a stickler for details. She is a runner and as such works very hard to create the absolute best races in town. The Fairview Half Marathon is a beautiful country road run with challenging hills as well as a lots of flat stretches. Along the way the course winds past longhorn cattle, alpacas, and horses as it meanders through the country. The medal is truly a unique work of art every year and often reflects the windmills and barns of the countryside. This is a race I strongly recommend year after year.
