Well, there is really no reason to visit the city of Leverkusen, but the half marathon was quite nice, much better than expected. As Leverkusen has nothing beautiful to offer it´s very good that the course of the half marathon takes runners around the city through forests and parks which is quite beautiful. The highlight of the course is of course at km 12 when the course leads through the iconic Leverkusen soccer stadium. The atmosphere at the finish line is very nice and as the course is flat and the weather was beautiful it was all in all a nice half to use as a training. All runners (around 1200 runners for the half) got a beautiful medal.

Well, there is really no reason to visit the city of Leverkusen, but the half marathon was quite nice, much better than expected. As Leverkusen has nothing beautiful to offer it´s very good that the course of the half marathon takes runners around the city through forests and parks which is quite beautiful.
