The first European Running Championships took place in the beautiful city of Leuven in Belgium! More than 10.000 runners took part in the half marathon (more than 12.000 runners signed up for the 42.2k). The course was nice, esp. the first 4k were very beautiful as the city is absolutely stunning. It was sunny and very warm. Water and iso drinks were offered every 5k which was a bit poor. Also poor was the merch as well as the expo which was almost nothing.
