I sat and watched that Tony guy time an event, and he is like a one-man army. He knows a great deal and consistently does a good job. I saw him timing the P.B. & J Event, which was a big event. I also attended the Bolt Run near the Lightning Hockey team’s stadium and the Tampa Firefighters 5K, where I finally won a bobblehead. There was the same guy, Tony Garrett from Florida Race Day Management, timing all these races.
The bike corral is set up very nicely. Numbered and easy to find my bike. The course was well marked. I always know where I’m going because these guys don’t skimp on the signage, and I like that a lot.
More than just one water station. I have attended this event several times, and it always starts on time. That is a big deal.
I like the after-party. They have ice-cold waters, Gatorade, and never run out! Snacks and plenty of fruit. I have done the Duathlon for the last 2 or 3 years in a row.
The awards ceremony starts sooner rather than later, which is good. The timing is right on the money, because I used my Garmin watch and it was perfect!
