The Cranberry State Marathon is the fifth race in Road to 50’s seven-day North East Series. Each race will be run in out-and-back laps. Distances vary from race to race (generally 1-2 miles per lap), as do the terrain and running surface, but all races have one thing in common: our killer aid station!
You’ll become VERY familiar with our amenities, as you run through the giant staging area on every lap, but here’s a quick overview: We’ve got all kinds of goodies, from salty to sweet to fruity to just plain good. Every day features a different hot dish or two, with cold and refreshing options on hot days. There is also a small aid station set up at the turnaround for every race, just in case you need a pick-me-up to tide you over until you come in at the end of the lap. We’ve even got an enclosed comfort station (heated in cold weather) with seats, self-serve first aid, and a changing tent, for when you’re ready for a bit of post-race down time.
All registered participants will receive a gender-specific tech shirt (one per series), timing chip, bib, and other goodies at packet pickup. Every race finisher will receive a finisher’s medal each day, with a special medal for completing the entire series. We give awards to the first, second, and third-place male and female finishers of the half marathon, marathon, and an overall winner award to the first-place 5K, 10K, and 50K finishers. [Please note: Only “regular” (5:00) starters will be eligible for placement awards.] Celebrating a milestone? Let us know! We offer awards for your first half marathon, first marathon, and first 50K. For those who have been racing for a bit longer, we also celebrate 50-state completions, birthdays, 100th half/marathon, and more. Send us an email and we’ll help you make your milestone extra special!
No time limits! (Except, of course, the 24-hour race.) Whether it’s your first or your 101st, you can take all the time you need to make it to the finish line.
