The Clovis Memorial Run is a great little 5k to start off Memorial Day Weekend. It supports the Senior Center, and honors veterans and service members. There are also a kids run and seniors run.
Timing is effectively gun timed since all times start at the gun, not when you cross the start, but results are traced via bib chip.
The entry fee is very reasonable, and veterans run for free. There is a post race pancake breakfast included, and a post race raffle (1 free ticket with race, others can be purchased.)
The course starts and ends at the senior activities center and runs along the bike trail. There is one street crossing, which is controlled by police.
The post race breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, fruit and juice.
Some support the race and enjoy the fun of a smaller race.

The course is primarily on the nice bike paths the town has to offer. The one road crossing is controlled by police to allow the runners to continue safely.
Great for runners or walkers. There are also kids and seniors runs.
They have a raffle afterwards, and a pancake breakfast.
The volunteers are fantastic, and the race offers discounts to military and veterans.
