This race is very well put together. We did enjoy picking up our packets the night beforehand. The energy from the pacers there gave us some much needed excitement. We weren’t thrilled with the artwork on the t-shirts but they were provided. There was no other swag to purchase like our prior race in another state. On the course I saw some with a sweat towel that I think had the logo but I didn’t see how or where to purchase that. The medals were great quality and had wonderful color and some sparkle. The post race was something like a movie! There were SO MANY vendors and also students from a local college providing alignments and deep tissue massages. They were the true gems! The vendor fair had a scavenger hunt to get a stamp from each one for a raffle. I won a raffle and it was a great time overall.
The race itself was wonderful. There were plenty of water stations and GU gels handed out. I saw them twice if not three times in the half marathon. My husband finished and said he didn’t find them at all. The orange gatorade at mile 9 or 10 was the worst I’ve ever tasted so I stayed clear and only got the yellow gatorade from there on out. Luckily this year the sun was hidden behind clouds for the majority of the race, otherwise we would have melted. Prepare for the lovely Florida humidity, even in November!

Had a great time at this event. Nice course and great timing. They gave away mugs for people that took 1st thru 3rd in their age category which was nice and the mug was very nice. I use it all the time.
I will do this event each year going forward.
