The Cape Peninsula Marathon is one of the most popular marathons in Cape Town. Start of the full marathon is in Greenpoint while the half marathon runners start in Bergvliet half way to the finish which is in beautiful Simons Town! The course towards Muizenberg and then all along the coast is very beautiful but rolling which makes it a bit challenging! All in all a wonderful and well organised race. Runners have to options to come back to Cape Town. There is a train leaving Simon’s Town every hour on the hour and there are buses organised for the runners. I decided to take the train which was very smooth.
