Cairo Half Marathon is a race that is organized by the team of Cairo Runners and the really do it with passion. The race takes place in Maadi which is a nice area south of downtown. The atmosphere at the start is really nice as the race seems to mean a lot to the people. The start was a little bit delayed. The course was absolutely flat and while running we could get a good impression of the neighborhoods of Maadi. Unfortunately the streets were not closed for traffic which was a little bit dangerous in some situations. The other minus was that the course had obviously not been measured correctly. I had the impressions that it was round about 500 m to short.
