Bridge and Dam is a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon on the historical Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark, MO and the largest foot race in the area.
Bridge and Dam is brought to you by and the Lake of the Ozarks Runners and will benefit Lake area charities. FundRuns’ directors Alysia Maschino and Scott Page, were the original race directors of Bridge and Dam and plan to expand on the successes the races thrived on for many years. With sole control over all aspects of the race, a number of improvements will be made. We want runners to have a great running experience at the lake while benefiting the community, area businesses and charities.
The certified half marathon course will return and all races will begin at the Bagnell Dam Scenic Overlook. Racers will be shuttled to the start line. All runners will receive high-quality Bella Canvas race shirts and custom medals will be given to all finishers. Furthermore, there will be an after-race party that will keep runners and spectators around after a fun morning! Held at Neon Taco on the Strip, food and drink will be available. Proceeds of this event will benefit a number of local charities.

Chasing my 50 states, this was a fun location. 2025 saw this race taken back over by the original race directors and a 5K and 10k were added to the event. Everyone started at the same time with no chip mat at the starting line. Everyone was shuttled to the start line(cool vehicles by lakeside pros). Plenty of start line porta potties(again, maybe 400 runners in all 3 races). A nice downhill start and running across Bagnell dam. This was an open course, but cones were spaced well along the course and at the main light the police and volunteers stayed until the last runners came in. Aid stations were water and Gatorade only, but fully staffed. The Shriners were a lot of fun as well as the rainbow man station. Once you got off the busy highway you were tucked back into some amazing neighborhoods with lots of views of the water and some amazing homes. But, hills galore!! But at least these hills had downhills as well….but it was a tough course for this lower Michigan gal. The after party at neon taco was nice with a free drink ticket. The medal was a nice size for the half marathon and your basic race t shirt(nice color though). With only 139 runners in the half, I’m not sure I would recommend this to slower runners(me). They did have pacers, but 2:30 was the slowest available. The biggest concern was the open course and having to watch traffic, better if you’re in a more visible group, not so if you’re just one slow runner. But everyone volunteering stayed out on the course supporting until the end. Weather was pretty perfect, organization of packet pickup, race day parking, shuttles and course directions were all very good. Lots of alone time on the course, lots of hills, basic aid stations.

I was pretty scared when I looked at the course profile. I trained on as many hills as I could and started the race at a pace I would for a marathon. In truth the race was not that bad! The worse was the toll bridge coming back, its a long slow climb plus we had a pretty strong head wind. I would do the race again, going out at a faster pace this time.
Organized, supportive

Pack for everything and expect anything! This race was so much fun. Running in areas typically only traversed by vehicle was something special. 740+ feet of elevation gain, roaring winds 40 mph+, gorgeous views and pelting rain. What a day and what a race! I am already registered for next year!
They provide the option of a tee or a ladies tank, which I LOVE- I will wear the tank again and again. There was a very nice finisher’s medal also. If you wanted a stocking cap- it was an extra $15, which I did purchase.
