In the state of Florida, over 1,000 children each month are removed from their homes and placed in the child welfare system. While not everyone is called to foster or adopt, we believe we can all play a part in helping children and families in need. That’s why we’re personally inviting you to join us for our 5K for Foster Kids event!
All Pro Dad is partnering with the Florida Department of Children and Families to challenge every family to participate in a 5K or family fun run to raise awareness for foster care in May.
Registration for the 5K chipped timed event is FREE and includes your race bib with RFID timing chip, as well as awards for top 3 overall and age groups. You have the option to also purchase an event t-shirt and/or finisher medal and free copy of Tony and Lauren Dungy’s book We Chose You. If you purchase the finish medal, your race bib will reflect your purchase of a finisher medal, which will allow you to received the medal as you cross the finish line.

The course was very nice and marked extremely well. Perfect timing by Tony but the awards were not good. Runners that near about 1st thru 3rd place awards get medals usually and what they gave out were paper certificates.
Water stations but absolutely no fruit or anything to eat at the very end of the race which is unheard of.
I finished the race and then had to stand around and wait for the 2nd place certificate for another hour which was not good. Many people just left. I heard many people complaining that they waited so long to just get a paper certificate. I would not do this race again unless they gave out real medals for 1st thru 3rd place.
