Whether you want to pound the pavement or do it in the dirt, 24 The Hard Way is for you. Athletes have their choice of a 24, 12 or 6-hour race on either a relatively flat asphalt trail or on a technical trail with dirt, rocks, roots, tree branches and depending on the weather, maybe a little mud. Each measured trail distance will be multiplied by the total number of laps a runner completes to give total mileage, for that event. A competitive 1-hour run is offered on the pavement course, and a non-competitive fun-run is staged on the off-road course.
Great venue for both on and off-road courses. Timing mats and Aid Station merge at the event base. Beautiful country, wooded feel in the middle of the city.
The course is a paved loop for the On-Road – a .961 mile wooded loop with slight occasional inclines. Trail loop is a similar distance with a nice blend of single track, double track and technical sections.
This will be a chip timed event. You will be given a disposable chip prior to the event start.

This is an interesting race. Almost 1 mile loops via Trail and Road; they converge for about 100 yards where there is a shared aid tent and the timing mats. Everything possible was available in the aid tent, even massage! Very well run race and top notch volunteers.
