Ran mostly next to Lake Pochatrain, over four bridges… one bridge we did twice. There was no traffic even when we race through a nice neighborhood. The race director kept us notified of any changes with the course because of the weather, it was great communication before race day. Nice after party, the only issue is why did everyone get the same medal?! I did the Half-Marathon and received the same medal as my husband that did the 5k and his brother that did the 10k.

This race had great communication before the race. There is plenty to do in Huntsville… very surprised. The restaurants that I ate at were all good.
The race course (back half) started at the college, there was one hill at mile 2ish the rest of the course was rolling inclines. We ran through the Space and Rocket center and the Botanical garden. At mile 8 if you had anyone do a video shout-out it was on the big screen… that was really nice!! The rest of the course was through residential area to the Von Braun center, which was nice running inside. Great after party… oh yeah it rained for a good half an hour during the race.

It happened to be a very cold day! The race course was nice, rolling inclines on a paved trail path. The volunteers made up for the low crowd support. Not much of an after party but it was too cold to be hanging out. Durham is a nice city.

Coming from SC low-country the course was great, a couple of rolling inclines that’s all. The aid stations about 2.5 mile apart were fully stocked. But the best part was the swag and the after race food and wine festival!! Highly recommended.
