The views in this race were the best I’ve seen besides the Grand Tetons. I felt like I got to run through different climates which was super cool (hurricane point gets it’s name for a reason). I loved the different race features like the piano and the strawberry stop. I think the only downside for me was that I asked for a bit of help with logistics for breast pumping while at the start waiting for the race to begin and I was kind of brushed off. I basically had to hide in the woods while random people snuck toward me to secretly squat to avoid the portapotties. Not the best experience hahaha. I understand it’s not a common issue so I’m not mad about it but I was surprised that options weren’t offered because they were otherwise very organized and helpful. Overall I loved it and it was hard enough that I felt super proud for finishing.

This race was downhill almost the entire time which was so awesome. I was nervous about it because I had missed several weeks of training after my mother died but I was able to finish with no problems even with the lack of training. The views were breathtaking, especially running down into the valley. What a great experience. I loved it.

This race is not scenic by any means. I did enjoy running through downtown Fayetteville but that was short. I did enjoy supporting the military and the post race snacks were the best I’ve ever had. They also gave a post race gift.

This race was beautiful. It was December so it was kind of overcast but still somehow perfect weather for running. And I like overcast anyway because it’s less sun on my face. It was sort of difficult to get to packet pick up but that is because it’s on a private little island and the buildings were hard to figure out.I stayed just off the island in a cute little mini town with lots of shops in walking distance and that was my favorite part of the trip. While I hate taking shuttles to races, the shuttle was easy enough to get to and use so that’s a plus. Overall a good race and travel experience.

Beautiful race, loved every minute. Views were gorgeous and I cried a little at how beautiful it all was. The post race snacks were great and it was just an all around great experience. Running through country scenery and downtown all in one go.
