Course was a double loop w/an out & bk, so the sights were constantly changing. Plus running by Ellis Island & the Statue of Liberty round mile 5 was fun! Medals are beautiful & only 2nd to RunDiz (had a window that opened up). Hydration stations were on point & crowd support (despite a very rainy first half) was quite good. Would definitely do this race again.

First of all, if you PR a Diz race, you’re not doing it right. Btwn character stops, entertainment & the potential to grab a drink in Epcot, there is sooo much to do to keep you entertained. This is the only race i dont wear my earbuds during. No need to. Theres so much more going on. DO IT!!!!!

A truly fun race. The support teams were amazing (this race helped support local veterans so there was a lot of volunteers along the course). The views on the Robert Moses Causeway were outstanding. Fueling stations were super well stocked and attended throughout the race. Only downside was the rain and the race has no way of controlling that *lol*

First off the scenery was absolutely beautiful I was never bored and there was always something new to see. However, there was a lot of twists and turns and the course was not owe is clearly defined by markers, or volunteers. This especially got worse at the end of the race as I am a slower runner. On multiple occasions I was confident that I had taken the wrong turn because there was no clear signage or volunteer to help. But if you are a faster runner, or really good at memorizing courses, definitely do this!

Had this idealistic idea of running on the boardwalk alongside the beach… That has officially been dashed. The boardwalk was completely terrifying to run on, it was not well-maintained and I had to spend the entirety of the race staring down to make sure that I was stepping on wobbly planks, not tripping on nails, & missing spots where there were gaps. In addition, the fueling stations were not well-manned (having to pour own water sometimes) and they were stingy with distributing the water (shot sized cups & not happy when i wanted more than 1). When I finished the race, no one had any idea how I was supposed to be able to get my medal as the finish line had been abandoned (And I was in the middle of the pack, not at the end). Overall, I was very unimpressed with the way it was run and I keep an eye out for that company when looking at future races.

With all the stuff going on, all the sites to see, and all the activities along the route, this is very likely not to be the race UPR. However, it will be by far the most entertaining race ever. The most supportive and massive crowd support, I cannot wait to go back!
