Race is smallish, I heard about 600 runners. Production is good, no real hiccups that I saw. Rained a bit before we started. As others have noted, it is very hilly, which made it challenging for me. One of my better times, but still feeling it a couple of days later. Swag is ok, not great.

Race was reasonably well organized, though a major snafu with the restroom situation caused a 30 minute delay to the start of the race. If it had not been in the high 60s at start time, this could have been a bigger problem.
Course is pretty challenging with a 2.5 mile hill at the start. Up and down after that and then the 2.5 mile descent to finish. Start and Finish are very close on this out and back course. Road surface was good throughout. Some vehicle traffic in spots, but runner lanes were well marked. Spectators were limited, but it was possible to see runners in a couple of places if willing to drive. (I got to see my family once on the course and at the finish.)
Overall, a nice race that needs a little more attention to the prerace arrangements.

Scenery is the star here. Over half the race is in view of the Tetons. Weather was great. Course is well laid out and challenging enough for casual runners. VR organizes a great race. Swag is great. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Rained nearly the entire time, but the course is wooded for like 10 of the 13 miles, along a picturesque mountain stream. Actual course is on county roads that are often crowned or sloped, but wasn’t awful. For my second half, I thought it was great being in the Smokies, few places are more scenic.
