The weather is often chilly for a southern state, but it was perfect this year. There aren’t many hills on the half, but there are more on the full. The finish line is pretty chaotic, so have a plan if you’re meeting up with family/friends afterwards.

The scenery is beautiful, so add this to your list! Packet pickup was easy. Book campsites early and get there early to pick a site. There are somewhat limited restroom facilities and our campsite was right next to the road, so we heard traffic and felt the wind from passing vehicles.

This is likely the easiest race I’ve done as far as race courses go. I don’t recall a single hill. There are actual bathrooms every mile or so. It was pretty warm and the crowds of runners didn’t really dissipate. But it was a fun international adventure and I’d recommend it!
