This was my first time running this race. Love the huge metal! It was a week after I ran Cowtown, so I didn’t expect to do well but I finished in the time that I wanted. Loved the pace group, they were entertaining and helpful and made sure you finished in your time. Love the support from volunteers and spectators. Super hilly and hard! I don’t have any hills in my area that could ever prepare me for this run! My only complaint is that you have to pay for your finishers shirt but I have only ran one other marathon and that is Cowtown and it was included in your registration so buying your finishers shirt maybe the norm and Cowtown may be the exception. Over all loved the race!! I did the combo run and loved the 5k the day before too.

This was my second year to run this marathon, I love the spectator support! While the half and the marathon are running together, you have music and entertainment, once it splits and goes into the neighborhoods the people are awesome, the whole marathon! This is my 2nd year of a 3 year series on the metal and I love the shirts they give you as well!! Love this race!

I ran this race untimed with my daughter and we had a great time! There were a lot of people there and overall it was a well put on race. Complaint s would be that the water station was at almost the 2 mile mark and if you were running competitively, you were mixed in with everyone. I went to the back to get out of their way but not everyone did this. They should have had a separate section for timed runners to start . I liked that they had a lane for the kids to run in. When you got in the zoo, the zoo staff were super supportive and a few of the animals made an appearance for you too!! Overall, I think it was a good race and perfect weather for it!!

It was crazy! Lots of people running, it starts off the Dallas area’s St. Patrick Day Parade. you actually run the parade route. It was super crowded and took almost a whole mile to clear out and be able to run. couple of hills, great atmosphere. I love Run Project’s races, they are super organized and they gave you a metal for a 5K run!!!

This was a rolling hills course. Fairly hard run. It ran you through Paris, TX, you ran through their trails, by the “Eiffel Tower” and started and ended in their square. It wasn’t an open course, so you had to deal with traffic, but they had plenty of people to stop the traffic to let the runners pass without stopping. This was their 1st year, nice long sleeve shirt and a big metal in the shape of Texas with the Eiffel Tower on it. Will most likely run it again next year!

This was my first marathon. I was super nervous! I loved that you ran by several historical areas of Ft. Worth. All the volunteers and people in the neighborhoods were awesome. Great support. I did the Cowtown Challenge and received a metal ( a cowbell and a shirt for the challenge. I got a small but appropriate metal for the 5k I ran on Saturday and a nice big heavy metal for the marathon and it is the first in a 3 year series. Great experience for my first marathon and I smashed the time that I thought I was going to finish in!!
