EVENT ON HIATUS FOR 2019. From race website: “The running industry is changing, and we want to adapt with it. This takes time. We are taking a hiatus from this event just for 2019, as we relook at the race course, community partnerships, and working with fitness professionals in the area to help more people train for and achieve goals at our race. We don’t just want to give you a race – we want to give you an experience and help you create memories! We look forward to seeing you all in 2020.”

We are focused on providing a fun, affordable, well-organized event in North Texas. This race is a beautiful looped course through the lovely country town of Paris, Texas. You have to come experience “Springtime in Paris” for yourself!
There will be a half marathon (13.1 miles), a 5K (3.1 miles), and a Kids’ 100 Yard Dash on race day. The Kids’ 100 Yard Dash starts before both longer distance races so that the whole family and ALL the participants can cheer on these kids. Then, the 5K starts and finishes while the half marathon is going on, so this is great for friends and family waiting for a half marathoner to finish!
The course will take you on a tour of Springtime in Paris (Texas, that is!). You’ll start in the adorable downtown square of Paris, you’ll run past Paris landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Heritage Park, and you’ll get some faster miles on the straight paved-asphalt trails of the Trail de Paris!
The half marathon and 5K courses will be USATF-certified before race day and their certification numbers posted here before race time.
The Active Joe events are known for being well-organized and for our quality race entrant and finisher items, and this race will be no exception. Runners will receive:
– A technical dry-wicking race shirt in gender-specific sizing for both half marathon AND 5K entrants.
– A gorgeous large finisher medal for half marathoners.
– Your race bib designed as a colorful memento, personalized with your name.

This was a rolling hills course. Fairly hard run. It ran you through Paris, TX, you ran through their trails, by the “Eiffel Tower” and started and ended in their square. It wasn’t an open course, so you had to deal with traffic, but they had plenty of people to stop the traffic to let the runners pass without stopping. This was their 1st year, nice long sleeve shirt and a big metal in the shape of Texas with the Eiffel Tower on it. Will most likely run it again next year!
