Was invited by my sister to run this race, so said why not as I’d never run a half on the east coast. Production was great with lots of energy and music. Pacers on course with plenty of aid stations; also, lots of people cheering you and encouraging you all the way to the finish line with shouts and signs. Overall, it was a fun race as you finish the last stretch on the boardwalk as you head towards the finish line by the Neptune statue. Swag is great as you get a tee, medal, towel, cap and plenty of snacks and water. It was an amazing end to a fairly straightforward and flat course which winds around the peninsula and lighthouse.

This was my first time running this event. The production was pretty good and the course was pretty flat with some rolling parts. Aid stations were aplenty and definitely helped with endurance. The views around were very nice with mountains all around with Mt San Jacinto nearby to the west. It’s a closed race with the Palm Desert police watching over us, so it felt safe and protected. Medal and shirt were quite nice!

Wanted to run a half during Christmas time, so I chose this race in Loma Linda. Production was very good, organized with lots of music and energy. The start/finish is located right by a fire station where you also get snacks and can sit at a table at race’s end. The course can be hilly at times and is run through the neighborhoods and under a bridge on a public walkway where the turnaround point is also at. Was slightly under the weather but still enjoyed the environment. The race is closed so felt very safe and privileged to be running the event. Medal and shirt were pretty cool and there was a backdrop at the end where you can take photos.

Early start and lots of energy from everyone. Music and pep to get us to start. Great aid stations and pacers to help you achieve your goal. Not lots of interesting scenery as your run through neighborhoods and public walkways; however, it is a closed race and felt safe as the Chandler police kept watch over us. Fun after race festivities with backdrops for taking photos. Everyone was friendly and have to say the production was pretty cool and organized. Giving 5 stars because the 6″ medal I earned was worth it! Coming back again to get the next cool 6″ medal! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Great race overall. Plenty of helpful aid stations. You run through some quaint neighborhoods and the little town of Poulsbo on the way to the two loops of the backend with some nice views of the verdant landscape and lake. It can get a little hilly on that backend and then having to do twice can be a little challenging. Still, it was fun race and you can get a cool green tee and awesome Viking ship medal! A must to take a photo with the viking on Viking Way…tremendous, memorable experience!

This was a great race with terrific music, energy and vibes! I was impressed by how organized the race was and everyone was very friendly. The course doesn’t have the best views but the production and swag make up for all your hard effort and sweat! Also, the area is ideal for walking, shopping and seeing stores and eateries and of course, the mission is right there! I stayed at a hotel that was literally 1000 ft from the start line so very easy to get ready for. It’s one of those races that I would do again but not in consecutive years. Still, it was very memorable!

This was my second race out of state as I consider myself a roadtrip runner, looking to run races at places I’ve never been to as well as making it a mini vacation. I thought they had a very good production that started/ended at Cocopah Casino, where I booked my stay, so it was super easy to get ready for the run! It’s mostly flat with a desert feel, which I love, and the officers made sure we were safe on the out-and-back course. I wasn’t expecting much but to just visit a new place but I very happy about the race and got a PR. If you’re looking for a January race to get the new year started, this one isn’t bad!

This was my second race in the vacation series, so I very excited to get the race started. Beautiful views all with a part of it on a dirt trail, the course takes you from the town area and towards the dam and past to end at the marina area. I felt like I was in awe of the views that I couldn’t quite focus on the race, which was okay because it was almost surreal being able to run by the Colorado River, the red rocks and the lake. It was definitely one of the funnest productions and would do again!
