In a nutshell, this has been one of my favorite venues since I started my running quest 4 years ago. This race begins at Raleys Field (AAA Giants Baseball Team, River Cats) and ends on the 3rd base side of the Field. This course is well marked and have plenty of voluteers to guide us. The long sleeve tech shirt was a plus, usually it’s been short sleeve. The Finishers medal is awesome….

From the pick up via buses in downtown Sacramento to the start line in Folsom was really well planned out. Got me to the start with about an hour to prep for this race. There were plenty of Aid stations, water and fueling stations. There were so many volunteers and each one had a smile from mile one to mile 26.2. I ran this race in 2015 and will run this race again in 2018. It’s on my to do list every year now as I’am hooked. The rolling hills for the first 10 miles are beautiful with lots of cheering crowds, this pumped me up. The finish line had plenty of water, snacks and refueling food. Awesome race

Beautiful course with a killer hill on mile 4-5 through a Golf Course. Ample parking with shuttle buses that made sure you are at the start on time. The Volunteers were very cheerful and Polite, they did an outstanding job in directing me through this course. Really cool setting at the Finish line. If you like hills, this course is for you and I really hope they keep this same course for next year. I’m not a hill runner and usually run in the lower elevations (below 3600 feet), but truly Love this Race as it tested my endurance to the max.

Another great event and will have this one scheduled again in 2018. It’s a great race with awesome pacer’s. What more can you get once you cross that finish line, a great cup of chocolate milk, snacks and the beer garden. The Urban Cow Bells as finisher medals are Awesome.

This race starts out in the Beautiful town center of El Dorodo Hills and this journey takes you through some residential area’s. The course was well marked, had tons of volunteers and the Race personnel were outstanding. I really enjoyed the Farmers market afterwards. Will I run this again next Year, that’ll be a Big Fat Yes!!!

From the start to finish this race was excellent and will be attending next year. Scenic route that took us through East Sacramento neighborhood (beautiful), through downtown Sacramento coming up along the Sacramento River and back into Land Park. The Cowbell medals were awesome as you certainly can hear them after the Race…… I was running with the 1:50 pace group and our pacer did a awesome job keeping away of our times, safety hazards and tight turns (only a couple).

Excellent course layout on a looped course and normally I don’t like looped courses. Water stations through out. The only downside on this course was the finish line as construction was going on and about 150′ of paved asphalt was removed due to the ongoing construction at the school site. They did have a cool raffle of which everyone was included that participated.

This is my second year at running this course and this year they had to change it due to the flooding at Discovery Park. This course had a couple of tight turns (pinch points) overall it was awesome due to the loop and watching the Elites run past me, priceless!! Already looking forward to my third run in 2017
