What is RaceRaves? Think of us as a “Trip Advisor for races”, a one-stop race shop where runners of all levels can discover the best races across the U.S. and around the world, track their past & future races, rate & review races (with photos, videos & blog reports) and follow other members of the RaceRaves community. We don’t produce or organize races, but we DO help runners find the best races out there.

Writing a review on RaceRaves is easy! Keep in mind, the more thoughtful and detailed your review, the more helpful it will be to other runners. And whether this is your first review or your 20th, we mean it when we say EVERY REVIEW COUNTS. The more races you review, the more entries you’ll earn to increase your odds of winning.

Feel free to contact us with any questions or feedback, we’d love to hear from you. Good luck, and thanks for sharing your race day experiences on RaceRaves, your premier online resource to discover, track & review all your races!

HOW IT WORKS: To qualify for and be automatically entered into our random drawing, non-members must 1) sign up for a free account on RaceRaves.com (= one entry) between Tuesday, October 4, 2016 and 11:59pm PDT on Monday, October 31, 2016, and 2) list your “A Snail’s Pace” affiliation in the “Running Club(s)” field on your profile (“Staging Area”) page, which can be accessed by clicking the pencil icon (or the orange Edit button from a smartphone or tablet) next to “My Profile” on your Staging Area page. For existing RaceRaves members, listing your “A Snail’s Pace” affiliation and submitting a race review during this time frame is your qualifying entry. Each review for a timed race submitted by a qualifying member within this time frame will then count as one (1) additional entry into the drawing. To ensure relevance, only reviews for races run since January 1, 2014 are eligible for the drawing.

On November 1, 2016, RaceRaves will randomly select the prize winners and notify them by email. If a winner fails to respond and claim their prize by 11:59pm on November 6, 2016, then another winner will be randomly chosen and secure all the glory and spoils therein. Previous winners are not eligible again for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days from the closing date of their winning giveaway period.

Every eligible race review counts as an entry — positive, negative or indifferent. For other runners looking to discover new races and for race directors looking to improve their events, the most important elements of any review are fairness and honesty. Naturally your odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
