I would estimate about 5000 total runners. 3200 of them half marathoners. Course is flat except for two pretty good 200’ climbs about 1/2-1 mile long each. The first starts about mile 2 and the second about mile 11. Of course you are rewarded with the down hill after the climb. 2026 marked a revamp of the course and it was not without issues. The 1/2 started about 40 minutes before the 5k. The half made a loop and came back near starting line at mile 3-4 and merged with the 5k at the same time the running lane was pinched down. The next 1.5 miles was a complete cluster. If you were in that 1:50-2:10 half time, the 5k merge was terrible. It was like being back at the start of a race. Good after party. Band, beer, and pizza. Hopefully they tweak the 5k start time in the future.

Somewhere around 400-500 runners split 2/3 or so half and 1/3 or so 5k. Racing during leaf peeping season is the highlight. The course is about 2/3 on a gravel road on an out and back course. The last half mile runs between a corn field and a river. Lots of sand here they didn’t need to make us run thru. Simple long sleeve t shirt for swag. Chili was the only post race food. Race started at 9 am. Which is great if it’s cold, but when it’s bright and sunny and it’s 80 F when you finish it’s not.
