After crossing the finish line for this race, all I could think was ‘wow’! I was nursing an injury prior to this race, so I was just hoping to make it to the finish in one piece. Somehow, I was able to run the whole race, and am so grateful for the experience. The scenery of the race is so beautiful, it was worth the price of entry alone. Packet pick-up at the expo was easy and enjoyable and the shuttle to the race start was stress-free. I loved the medal, which doubles as a wine coaster. I didn’t stay long at the post-race festival, but it seemed to be a good time. My only minor complaints are that the race shirts ran extremely small, and that the price of the race is a bit steep. However, I believe that this race is worth the price–I hope to be lucky enough to run it again in the future!

Have ran this race the past several years. Race conditions were a bit challenging this year, as it was pouring non-stop the whole race, and it was a bit chilly. However, this may be better than years where it is sunny, as the last few miles of the course offer little shade. I like that this race is affordable and generally “no frills.” You get a standard cotton t-shirt and nice medal at the finish. Parking is easy at the sports complex, and ride to the start on the BSL is also easy if you get there early enough. The only part that is less than enjoyable is the walk back to your car at the end of the race (they route runners back behind Broad so you don’t interfere with the race). Overall, a great race and will continue to sign up in the future.

This was the third time I have ran this race. Each year, I am hoping that race conditions improve, and each year I am proven wrong! This year, it was unseasonably windy and chilly, for an April race date (this is usually a mid-March race). This made the already challenging and hilly course even more difficult. I managed to finish, but probably will need a lot of convincing to do this race again–I want to love this race, as it is local and relatively affordable, but I have never had a great race here due to the course and weather. The race shirt was nice and so was the medal. Post-race food is decent as well.

Had a great experience with the race–enjoyable course, nice fall weather, and LOVED the swag! Not only did we get a nice race shirt and medal, but also received a nice fleece blanket and tech hat at the finish! I would definitely do this race again in the future.

Ran this race for the first time in 2015. I love the BF bridge and was super excited to finally run over it. It was very windy on the bridge portion of the course but otherwise enjoyable. Medals and race shirts were high quality, love the long sleeved cotton. Only complaint would be that we couldn’t find any post-race food/snacks–not sure if there weren’t any or if we were just not seeing it. Otherwise, great race.
